As Executor, you are responsible for protecting and preserving the value of the deceased person’s estate. It can be a challenge to find the time to do it yourself or the people or businesses you can trust to sort, organize, and distribute the personal affects of the deceased person. It is no easy task to do these jobs yourself or to arrange for and manage the various services required to clean, maintain, repair and prepare the estate property for sale. This is especially true for an Executor who is inexperienced, unfamiliar with the local services or who does not reside in the same community as the deceased. Lynne Blair, President of L. Blair & Associates BC Ltd. launched Executor Support Services (ESS) to address this specific need after finding herself in these very situations.

Executor Support Services offers a range of services including

  • securing, protecting and preserving the deceased person’s personal effects, household goods and estate property;
  • sorting, boxing and distributing or disposing of personal items and household goods;
  • maintaining and repairing personal property (buildings and land); and
  • meeting your accountability requirements by providing written estimates, invoices and reports.

Whether you are a family member, friend or a professional who has been named as the Executor of an estate, ESS will help you determine your specific needs for support and customize our services to match your specific needs, financial resources and the time you have available to do or manage the job yourself.


With ESS, not only do you determine the specific services you need, you also choose the level of support you want. You can choose to have ESS to manage and perform all the onsite work for you (the Executor Support Service). You may prefer to have ESS only manage the work for you, providing you with weekly one hour consultations and an area-specific list of resources you will need (the Executor Coach Service). If you would rather do the work yourself with a little help, ESS can provide basic information with monthly one hour telephone consultations to get you started and guide you through the process (the Executor Consult Service).


No matter which option you choose, you are always in control and remain in control of the Estate, every step along the way.
